The following is a summary of the key terms of this Service:
- Payment(s) through this Service may only be made with the following payment types: Credit Card, Debit Card or Electronic Funds Transfer.
- Certain payment methods (such as credit or debit card payments) will include a convenience fee charged by a third-party payment processor. Puget Sound Collections does not receive any portion of this fee. This fee will be clearly disclosed prior to submission of your payment. No-fee payment options, such as ACH or check, are available.
- The Credit Card information supplied at the time of using the service is processed by the payment gateway of the service provider. It is the sole responsibility of the Consumer of the service to ensure that the information entered in the relevant fields are correct. It is recommended that you take and retain a copy of the transaction for record keeping purposes, which might assist in resolution of any disputes that may arise out or usage of the service.
- The Consumer agrees, understands and confirms that his/her personal data including without limitation details relating to debit card/credit card/net banking transmitted over the Internet may be susceptible to misuse, hacking, theft and/or fraud, and that Puget Sound Collections and its Payment Service Provider(s) are not responsible for such unauthorized acts to the extent permitted by law.
- The service is provided using a payment gateway service provider through a secure website. However, neither the payment gateway service provider nor the Puget Sound Collections gives any assurance, that the information so provided online by a Consumer is secured or may be read or intercepted by a third party. Puget Sound Collections does not accept or assume any liability in the event of such unauthorized interception, hacking or other unauthorized access to information provided by a Consumer of the service.

Debit/Credit Card, Bank Account Details
- The Consumer agrees that the debit/credit card details provided by him/her for use of the aforesaid Service(s) must be correct and accurate and that the Consumer shall not use a debit/credit card, that is not lawfully owned by him/her or the use of which is not authorized by the lawful owner thereof. The Consumer agrees and undertakes to provide correct and valid debit/credit card details. The Consumer warrants, agrees and confirms that when he/she initiates a payment transaction and/or issues an online payment instruction and provides his/her card/bank details.
- The Consumer is fully and lawfully entitled to use such credit/debit card, bank account for such transactions.
- The Consumer is responsible to ensure that the card/bank account details provided by him/her are accurate.
- The Consumer authorizes debit of the nominated card/bank account for the Payment of fees selected by such Consumer along with the applicable Fees. Consumer understands and agrees any fees associated with a payment are voluntary and that a free option is available.
- The Consumer is responsible to ensure that sufficient credit/funds is available on the nominated card/bank account at the time of making the payment to cover the amount of the Payment and any related Fee.
- The Consumer may cancel or modify any recurring payment authorization at any time by contacting Puget Sound Collections.
No Warranty
No warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, is given by Puget Sound Collections in respect of the operation of the service.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Puget Sound Collections and/or the Payment Service Provider(s) does not accept liability for any damage, loss, cost (including legal costs), expenses, indirect losses or consequential damage of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, which may be suffered or incurred by the Consumer from the use of this service.
- Puget Sound Collections and/or the Payment Service Provider(s) shall not be liable for any inaccuracy, error or delay in, or omission of (a) any data, information or message, or (b) the transmission or delivery of any such data, information or message; or (c) any loss or damage arising from or occasioned by any such inaccuracy, error, delay or omission, non-performance or interruption in any such data, information or message. Under no circumstances shall the Puget Sound Collections and/or the Payment Service Provider(s), its employees, directors, and its third party agents involved in processing, delivering or managing the Services, be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or any damages whatsoever, including punitive or exemplary arising out of or in any way connected with the provision of or any inadequacy or deficiency in the provision of the Services or resulting from unauthorized access or alteration of transmissions of data or arising from suspension or termination of the Service, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
- The Consumer agrees that Puget Sound Collections or any of its employees will not be held liable by the Consumer for any loss or damages arising from your use of, or reliance upon the information contained on the Website, or any failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions where such failure is due to circumstance beyond Puget Sound Collections’ reasonable control.
Security
All payment details which are entered through this payment gateway are encrypted when the Consumer enters them. The site uses industry-standard encryption to protect data transmitted to and from the site. Puget Sound Collections shall not be liable for any failure by the Consumer to protect their own information or for unauthorized access occurring outside of PSC’s control.
Variations to the Terms and Conditions
Puget Sound Collections reserves the right to vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time and the current version will be published on this website. We reserve the right to decline the acceptance of an online payment if your account is in default for any reason. Puget Sound Collections may also make additions/deletions/alteration to the services offered, at its sole discretion. We reserve the right to withdraw the service at any time at its discretion. We retain the right to change the terms and conditions for Online Fees Payments, without any prior notice.
State Disclosures
California Residents (License # 10283-99)
The State Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act require that except under unusual circumstances collectors may not contact you before 8am or after 9pm. They may not harass you by using threats of violence or arrest or by using obscene language. Collectors may not use false or misleading statements or call you at work if they know or have reason to know that you may not receive personal calls at work. For the most part, collectors may not tell another person, other than your attorney or spouse, about your debt. Collectors may contact another person to confirm your location or enforce a judgment. You may request records showing the following: (1) that P.S.C., Inc. dba Puget Sound Collections has the right to seek collection of the debt; (2) the debt balance, including an explanation of any interest charges and additional fees; (3) the date the debt became delinquent or the date of last payment; (4) the name of the creditor and the account number associated with the debt; (5) the name and last known address of the debtor as it appeared in the creditor’s records prior to assignment of the debt; and (6) the names of all persons or entities other than the debt collector to which the debt has been assigned, if applicable. You may also request from us a copy of the contract or other document evidencing your agreement to the debt.

Colorado Residents

A consumer has the right to request in writing that a debt collector or collection agency cease further communication with the consumer. A written request to cease communication will not prohibit the debt collector or collection agency from taking any action authorized by law to collect the debt.
Maine Residents
As required by law, you are hereby notified that a negative credit report reflecting on your credit record may be submitted to a credit reporting agency if you fail to fulfill the terms of your credit obligations.
Massachusetts Residents
NOTICE OF IMPORTANT RIGHTS
You have the right to make a written or oral request that telephone calls regarding your debt not be made to you at your place of employment. Any such oral request will be valid for only ten days unless you provide written confirmation of the request postmarked or delivered within seven days of such request. You may terminate this request by writing to the debt collector.
Nevada Residents
If the consumer pays or agrees to pay the debt or any portion of the debt, the payment or agreement to pay may be construed as: (1) an acknowledgment of the debt by the consumer; and (2) a waiver by the consumer of any applicable statute of limitations set forth in NRS 11.190 that otherwise precludes the collection of the debt. If the consumer does not understand or has questions concerning his/her legal rights or obligations relating to the debt, the debtor should seek legal advice.

Under Washington State law, you have the right to request (either in writing or orally) the original account number or redacted original account number assigned to the debt, the date of the last payment, and an itemized statement (free of charge) providing the following information about this debt:
(A) The name and address of the medical creditor;
(B) The date, dates, or date range of service(s);
(C) The health care service(s) provided to you as indicated by the health care provider in a statement provided to us for collection action;
(D) The amount of principal for any medical debt or debts incurred;
(E) Any adjustment to the bill, such as negotiated insurance rates or other discounts;
(F) The amount if any payments received, whether from you, or any other party (including insurance payments);
(G) Any interest or fees; and
(H) If the medical debt is for hospital services, whether you were found eligible for charity care or other reductions and, if so, the amount due after all charity care or other reductions have been applied to the itemized statement.
